"Serve Others as You would Serve Yourself"
CAPE TOWN - WESTERN CAPE
With majestic Table Mountain and  sister peaks as a breath- taking  backdrop to silken beaches, azure  ocean and a cosmopolitan city brimful  of South African history, tradition and  color, Cape Town ranks as one of the  most beautiful cities in the world. And  for the visitor, it has everything -  countless restaurants, unsurpassed  scenery and every kind of recreation  imaginable, from prowling the maze of  shops hidden beneath the city centre  to soaring high above it all on the  world-famous cableway. Up the West Coast past  Bloubergstrand for a view of Table  Mountain as the early settlers first  saw it you will find charm- ing  fishing villages; Saldanha Bay,  Paternoster, quaint Lambert's Bay  with their typical West Coast  community. As an alternative head  directly inland from Cape Town for  the historic wine lands and fruit  routes. Tour vineyards and cellars  that are home to world-class wines.  For healing hot water springs make  your way east to Montagu. To the  east of Cape Town lies Gordon's  Bay, with its calm waters and tiny  harbour watched by craggy mountain  peaks behind, where the Steenbras  Dam is well worth a visit. While you  are in the area, take the wonderful scenic drive that follows the coast through Betty's Bay. With its  green winters and balmy summers, and spectacular coastal and country scenery, the Cape has it all,  whatever you preference. In 1850, Sir Francis Drake described it as the "Fairest Cape."
